 Jeez, two back to back posts on Life In Series. Is nothing of consequence happening in between?

The truth is that many small small things happen and instead of putting them individually, it felt better to put it here.  So, without further ado (like the word ado, how much we use it in this cliched phrase, very handy word in crossword :) ) 

Travel

- Trip to Delhi

Went to Delhi for an extended weekend tour. Went to some unique places - India Habitat centre and watched a play Salaam India, based on the book by Pavan K Varma. Mr. Pavan Varma was also there. 

Also visited Lodhi gardens for the first time in life, had chaat at Atul's @ Rajori Garden. 

River Tern Lodge

An office outing to River Tern Lodge. It is always a pleasure for me to visit River Tern Lodge. There was some doubt on what is the right venue and I was like River Tern it is. Played board games, Madia all the way, Poker and took two cruises.  Also, saw a nice giant rainbow.

Events & celebrations

Had three Onam Sadhyas this year - First one was at BIC (Bangalore International centre) organized by VS Mani. Second one was made by Mummy and third one was at office. 

But in a twist, we also celebrated Onam for our cats as well :) 

Lucky Ali concert

Met with old EventsHigh gang - Simran, Sonal, Rituja, had lunch at Nikesh/Sujata's place at a Lucky Ali concert

Met Justin & Akhila and went for a play - Sakal Jaani hai Gaath. A play in hindustani on the friendship of Krishna Sudama which is pretty hilarious except in last 10 mins where it takes a very dark turn

Diwali celebrations

Continuing our tradition of making a sweet at home, this year we made Mawa Jalebis at home. Also known as Burhanpur ki Jalebis, these are dark thick Jalebis. We followed this video (which worked), NIsha Madhulika's video (which did not work for us). Interesting thing is that Mawa Jalebi is not well documented, not even covered by our Ranbir Brar. Took some iteration to get the right nozzle experiments but turned out to be good. 

We also made normal Jalebis and Paneer Jalebis. Paneer Jalebis came out very well as well. 

Also, we decked our Balcony with some fancy lights - 

Also, celebrations were there for Rakhi, Bhai Dooj, Diwali etc etc

In other news, 

Got net installed on windows for our cats. Puckha has been trying to open windows on her own. Just to save any bad situation, got net installed on all our windows. 

Started workout and got hit by bad backache but all well now. Also, hurt my wrist with some inflammation. Something something continued to happen last couple of months

Also, visited some fancy places in BLR

- Went to Uru Brewpub in JP Nagar - decent place, not very expensive compared to other restaurants. 

- Beer Library - Went for the farewell for Fai/Vikas from office. 

- Went to Rasoiya street with Ramya and Anand from Sobha. Decent place

- Ironhill continues to be the goto place for Office parties :)

Also, back to back trips to Gopalan Mall - One was for my US visa renewal and one a fresh application for an upcoming trip to Ireland :)
