Eleanor Rigby

Its been a long time since i posted a song. But this does not means that i am not listening to songs anymore. Infact, i have been trying out Pandora - the internet radio station that plays similar songs. And it is very good indeed. Here is my profile page - http://www.pandora.com/people/arvindbatra (in case you are interested)

So somehow Eleanor rigby came on Pandora and i was in enough attentive mood to give my proper attention to it. Or i think that the song was powerful enough to distract me from whatever i was doing and took me in.

It is a Beatles song - one of their first and it is truely a pshychedelic song. The lyrics are quite good. But the best thing is the the string music and how it pumps up this otherwise sad song. Amazing! Clearly Beatles didnt play the stringed instrument but still whoever came up with the music - my big thanks to you!

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eleanor rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?

Father mckenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near.
Look at him working. darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Eleanor rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father mckenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
